Role Description The Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Phoenix, AZ, responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on residential and commercial construction projects. This position coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, manages schedules, and ensures work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. The Superintendent conducts regular site walks, monitors progress, resolves field issues, and communicates effectively with project managers, clients, and inspectors. Daily tasks include supervising crews, enforcing safety protocols, tracking materials and equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation such as logs, reports, and inspections. The role also supports client satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and representing Symmetry Construction's professional standards on the jobsite.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and overseeing field activities.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality control practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, project teams, inspectors, and vendors.
• Proficiency in basic construction-related technology and software (e.g., project management tools, email, digital documentation).
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced field conditions.
• Proven track record of maintaining safe jobsites and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
• Previous experience as a Superintendent, Foreperson, or similar leadership role in residential and/or commercial construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or construction-related coursework is beneficial. xhyhwjd
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites in the Phoenix area as needed.
