Machinist - Irwin, PA

Position Summary:
CHS has partnered with a local manufacturer to find a hands-on Machinist to support their team!This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with both manual and CNC equipment, can read blueprints, and knows how to make basic programming edits right at the machine. If you take pride in precision work and want to grow your machining skills, this could be a great fit.
• Shift/Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 2nd shift - 3:00 pm - 12:00 am (Mon-Thurs), 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (Fri)
• Pay: $24-$30/hour -Based on experience

What You'll Do:

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce high-quality parts
• Read blueprints and follow detailed instructions to meet production goals
• Make basic programming adjustments directly at the machine when needed
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy
• Perform light machine maintenance, manage coolant, and keep your area organized
• Work closely with teammates and jump in where needed to keep production running smoothly

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of machining experience or equivalent technical training
• Comfortable reading blueprints and using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• Experience with manual machines; CNC experience or exposure preferred
• Basic programming or editing skills at the machine level
• Team player with good communication skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have:

• Associate's degree in Machining or related field
