Job Description Job Description Job Title: Machinist Location: Turtle Creek, PA Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $52000 annually Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Shifts Machinist We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual and CNC machine tools to produce precision parts according to customer specifications and blueprints. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities: Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and sequences Select appropriate tools, materials, and machining methods for each job Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy Maintain a clean and safe work environment Document production activities and maintain accurate records Collaborate with team members and management to improve processes and efficiency Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings Hands-on experience with manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, etc.) Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments Understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Good mathematical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CNC programming and operation Vocational or technical training in machining Experience in custom or job shop manufacturing Familiarity with CAD/CAM software Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
