Travel to Charleston, West Virginia for an exciting Operating Room RN opportunity in a busy acute care operating room. This 13-week travel nursing assignment is ideal for an experienced perioperative nurse who excels as both a scrub and circulating RN and is ready to make an immediate impact in a high-volume surgical setting.

Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,400 - $2,520
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirements: Minimum of 1 weekday call shift per week; up to every other weekend; holiday call rotation required
• Charting System: EPIC
• Care Setting: Acute care operating room
• Location: Charleston, WV 25301 — a welcoming West Virginia city with a friendly local atmosphere.

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Strong ophthalmology experience required, including the ability to independently perform cataract and cornea cases
• Ability to scrub and circulate ambulatory surgery procedures
• BLS certification required
• Experience in perioperative nursing, surgical services, or circulating nurse roles preferred
• Comfortable working in a team-based surgical environment with changing case volumes
• Ability to take call and respond within 30 minutes when scheduled
• Willingness to float to other surgical departments as needed

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate a variety of operating room cases in a high-volume surgical setting
• Support procedures including ophthalmology, ENT, dental, minor general surgery, minor spine stabilization, spinal cord stimulators, and more
• Assist with approximately 22 cases per day across 6 suites
• Prepare the operating room and ensure supplies, instruments, and equipment are ready for each case
• Maintain patient safety, sterile technique, and efficient workflow throughout surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to support quality patient care
• Stay late when needed to complete cases and support smooth room turnover
• Participate in call coverage for weekday, weekend, and holiday needs
