Registered Nurse - LTAC/Telemetry

Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver patient care effectively.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient management.
• Oversee and delegate patient care tasks to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and hospital policies.
• Provide direction and supervision of nursing staff delivering patient care.

Schedule

This position requires a shift from 19:00 to 07:00.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two to 5 years of experience in nursing is required.
• Must have ACLS & BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Required vent/trach experience.
• Must have 2 years of recent Tele/LTAC experience in a hospital setting.
• Indiana or multi-state compact RN license is mandatory.
