Description & Requirements

As a Billing Intern in our Healthcare group at Forvis Mazars, you will assist long-term healthcare clients with facilitating monthly accounts receivable and billing functions. How you will contribute:

• Working collaboratively with a team in multiple software systems to prepare and bill claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers
• Maintaining accounts receivable aging and related reports
• Posting payments to patient accounts
• Reconciling patient accounts
• Assisting clients with billing and related regulatory matters
• Delivering Forvis Mazars’ commitment to an Unmatched Client Experience™ through timely and responsive communication with internal personnel and external clients

• A background in healthcare accounting, medical billing, or accounts receivable is helpful
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field
• Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework is expected
• Interns must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0
• Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person
