Accounting Clerk

Pay rate: $20-$27/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex clerical accounting assignments following established policies and procedures.
• Post financial transactions, including disbursements, expense reports, vouchers, remittances, and other accounting entries to journals, ledgers, and accounting systems.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of invoices and supporting documentation.
• Process transactions within accounting subsystems while ensuring data integrity.
• Assist with billing activities, balancing accounts, and preparing simple account reconciliations.
• Prepare routine financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support month-end and year-end accounting activities as needed.
• Perform general administrative duties in support of the accounting and finance team.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and respond to accounting-related inquiries.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or accounting clerk role.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Preferred

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience using accounting or ERP software.
• Prior experience with reconciliations, billing, accounts payable, or accounts receivable.
