Donor Center Phlebotomist

Job Description Join our team as a phlebotomist to assist with the blood collection process at fixed site locations. The role involves creating a welcoming environment for volunteer donors, following safety procedures, and collecting lifesaving blood donations. Key Responsibilities Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understand how impactful their donation is. Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so our volunteers feel comfortable coming back again and again. Maintain detail orientation throughout the day to ensure that the blood collected meets goals, regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. Standard Schedule (Overland Park, Kansas) Variable hours 4 x 10‑hour shifts Some weekends required Work a variable schedule that may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance. Pay Information Starting rate $19.50/hour. Pay may increase depending on experience. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or a combination of education and work experience. Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Physical capability to lift, push or pull heavy weights, use ramps and stairs, and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.). Previous leadership experience.
