Here, you will receive endless support and appreciation while building a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.As a Delivery Driver for Homecare Pharmacy Services, you will ensure TPN, Infusion medications and IV supplies are properly distributed as directed by the Pharmacy Department. When interacting with patients, you will provide a stellar "Patients First" experience in the comfort of their homes. This position offers an excellent way to enhance your customer service skills while making a meaningful difference in your community.A caregiver in this position works Monday through Friday from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Saturday requirements occur every 4th weekend from 10:00am to 6:30pm. When Saturday shifts are worked, Tuesday through Saturday, on-call requirements will be needed for Sunday if needed.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Perform pre-delivery cleaning and testing of equipment.Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy and Warehouse teams to prioritize deliveries.Perform delivery of medication, supplies and home medical equipment to patients' homes and retrieve medical equipment as needed.Assure proof of delivery documentation is completed and returned.Interact directly with the patient or patient's caregiver, ensuring excellence throughout the patient experience.Escalate safety concerns noticed in the home environment.Store medication, supplies and equipment in vehicles securely and safely according to OSHA, TJC and other regulatory groups.Handle hazardous medications safely according to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory groups.Maintain delivery vehicle safety, efficiency and cleanliness.Support basic inventory duties for supplies.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:High School Diploma/GEDObtain and maintain eligibility to operate Foundation vehiclesTwo years of delivery experiencePreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Experience related to specialty pharmacy or homecarePreferred candidate backgrounds may include: FedEx, RTA (patient transport), UH delivery, prior hospital, other professional delivery roles requiring accountability and customer interactionPhysical Requirements:Able to lift 60 pounds, load and unload trucks, sit or stand for the majority of a workday, bend kneel or crouch to set up and move equipment and use 2 wheeler safely.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.The policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
