As a Make Ready Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring vacant apartments are clean, functional, and move-in ready by completing repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.

Job Description

The Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing maintenance repairs, painting, cleaning, and general upkeep. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new resident move-ins.
• Complete punch lists and ensure apartments meet move-in standards.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, and carpentry repairs.
• Install and repair appliances, fixtures, doors, locks, blinds, and hardware.
• Patch, texture, and paint walls as needed.
• Replace flooring, trim, and other interior finishes when necessary.
• Inspect apartment homes to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
• Assist with resident work orders when needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous apartment maintenance or make ready experience preferred.
• Experience with painting, drywall repair, basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance installation.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous multifamily apartment experience.
• HVAC certification is a plus but not required.
• CPO certification is a plus.
