Job Details Setting: Adult Neuro Med Surg Location: Johnstown, PA 15905 Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse Job Start Date: 09/08/2026 End Date: 12/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours Shifts per Week: Not specified Weekend Rotation: 2 of 4 weekends per schedule; straight weekends may be available Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 Charting System: EPIC Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1 Patient Population: Adult Job Requirements Active RN license Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg or a similar acute care setting Strong comfort level with dysrhythmia interpretation and management Ability to pass a dysrhythmia and math dosage test on day one of orientation NIH and Swallow Screen preferred Neuro experience is ideal Experience caring for adult patients with CVA, TIA, seizures, mobility limitations, and common respiratory or urinary conditions Ability to float if needed, though this is rare Must be available for holidays as discussed during screening Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient bedside nursing care to adult Med/Surg and Neuro Med Surg patients Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using EPIC and facility protocols Manage patients with neurological and medical-surgical diagnoses, including stroke-related care and seizure precautions Support patient mobility, recovery, and discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team Respond appropriately to changes in patient status and escalate concerns as needed Maintain strong attention to dysrhythmia monitoring and cardiac safety Work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to promote quality outcomes and patient satisfaction Follow facility standards, orientation requirements, and safety practices throughout the assignment Apply now for this Travel RN opportunity in Johnstown, PA, and join a collaborative healthcare team committed to excellent patient care.
