About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: California state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Trauma experience preferred - Experience with Epic charting system preferred Description: The registered nurse will work in the Emergency Room. The role requires covering the observation unit for ER hold patients. Travelers may need to float between nearby facilities. The nurse will manage various patient conditions including abdominal pain, chest pain, and psychosis. They will be expected to perform procedures including intubation, blood product administration, and IV management. The daily census is approximately 105 patients with an average of 135 visits per day. The facility provides interdisciplinary support and resources. COVID-19 vaccination is not required. The nurse must commit to working a specified number of holidays during the contract. The facility may provide communication devices as needed for the role. Failure to report for scheduled shifts may affect the contract. References covering the last three years are required. The schedule will include rotating weekend shifts. Must adhere to all facility policies during the assignment.
