Clinical Applications Engineer

Intuitive Surgical

Clinical Applications Engineer supporting early adoption of robotic minimally invasive surgery systems. The role involves on-site procedural support, clinical training, and technical assistance to new hospital sites, with significant travel required across assigned regions.

Responsibilities

Provide procedural support at new robotic system sites to ensure safety and effective progression
Train physicians and clinical staff on equipment use and support their learning curve
Identify clinical adoption barriers and collaborate on solutions with training and development teams
Maintain communication with global Clinical Applications Engineering and sales teams
Document product feedback and best practices for design engineering teams

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of technical or clinical healthcare experience
Experience navigating hospitals and supporting clinical procedures
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or healthcare-based field
Proficiency with complex technical systems and critical patient care environments
Strong problem-solving and communication skills with composure under pressure
Ability to travel up to 70% and work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
Self-starter with autonomy, flexibility, and collaborative remote team skills
