Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Stepdown

Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 8 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Shift: Night Shift (3x12 Hours)
Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Pay Rate:

• Local: $1,700 - $1,800 Weekly

• Traveler: $2,000 - $2,100 Weekly

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Stepdown RN to provide care for high-acuity cardiac and medical patients in an intermediate care setting. The RN will manage telemetry patients, advanced infusion therapies, respiratory support, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to Medical Stepdown and Telemetry patients.

• Perform patient assessments and continuous monitoring.

• Administer medications, blood products, and infusion therapies.

• Care for patients with CHF, acute MI, arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy, and stroke-related conditions.

• Manage BiPAP, CPAP, and other non-invasive ventilation therapies.

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.

• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License.

• Current BLS and ACLS Certifications.

• Minimum 1 year of recent Stepdown, PCU, or Telemetry experience.

• Experience with cardiac monitoring and intermediate care patients required.

• NIHSS Certification preferred.
