The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting a small dental team, primarily assisting dentists and office managers in a general dentistry setting. This position involves providing chairside assistance, preparing patients for treatments, managing dental instruments, and ensuring infection control standards. The Dental Assistant helps maintain smooth office operations through tasks like appointment scheduling and inventory management while fostering patient education and care within standard working hours without travel requirements. Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
• Prepare patients for treatments and ensure comfort
• Take dental radiographs following safety protocols
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Manage inventory of dental supplies
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain records
• Implement infection control procedures
• Educate patients on oral health and post-treatment care
• Maintain and troubleshoot dental equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of dental assisting experience
• You MUST be a licensed dental assistant
• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in chairside assistance and dental radiography
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization techniques
• Skills in patient care and oral health education
• Strong record keeping and communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a small team
• High attention to detail
