Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification Must-Have: At least 2 years of labor experience Description: General Comments Unit Information: Number of Beds: 24 Number of Staff: 71 Type of Staff: Day Shift labor nurse Nursery nurse OB tech Secretary Leadership Educator Night Shift labor nurse Nursery nurse OB tech Secretary Patient Ratios: Labor 1:1 (most of the time) Post-partum 5-6:1 Nursery 5-6:1 Type of Equipment: GE fetal monitors EMR Meditech, CPN Preferred: 2+ years of labor experience with a history of working in an LDRP with high birth volumes Typical Procedures Performed: Vaginal deliveries C-sections Antepartum patients Newborn and post-partum care Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs MIU nurses have pink badges for infant security Weekends and On-Call: Every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule
