Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract in Jacksonville, TX, with Epic experience preferred and on-call responsibilities included.

Details

• Hospital Operating Room setting
• Surgical specialties include General, Orthopedic, OB/GYN, GI, Colorectal, ENT, and Pain procedures
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• On-call requirement of approximately 30%, with possible PACU recovery responsibilities when on call
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Proficiency in general surgery, orthopedic, thoracic, urological, and laparoscopic procedures preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
