About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical direction of its independent health system. This enterprise-wide physician leadership position is focused on leading and elevating clinical quality, patient safety, and operational performance. The CMO will be responsible for driving stronger alignment across the medical staff, enhancing physician recruitment and retention strategies, and fostering collaboration with nursing and interdisciplinary leadership. A key aspect of the role is to serve as a champion for the optimization of the company's clinical information system, leveraging data and analytics to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a respected physician leader with a Doctor of Medicine degree, current Board Certification, and a strong background in advancing clinical quality within a complex medical staff environment. Candidates for the CMO position at the company should have a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD/DO) and be Board Certified in a medical specialty. An advanced degree in a healthcare or business-related field is preferred. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar leadership role, with a focus on driving measurable improvement in quality, operations, and physician alignment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building trust across diverse stakeholder groups. The role requires a leader who can navigate the complexities of a high-volume, clinically diverse provider and is committed to working within a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
