About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. The COO will be a key partner to the CEO, responsible for driving organizational strategy, enhancing performance, and building the necessary infrastructure to scale impact. This role is pivotal in overseeing a broad portfolio of functions, including program operations, human resources, information technology, and external relations. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and executing a strategic five-year plan, providing day-to-day leadership, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care in compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal COO will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, at least 10 years of senior leadership experience, and a strong background in IDD services, Medicaid, and New York State healthcare systems and regulations. Key requirements include a proven ability to scale operations, strong financial acumen, and a track record of achieving results in both mission-driven and financially sustainable environments. The role demands an individual with exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, who is passionate about the mission of the organization and is adept at building and managing high-performing teams. The COO will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and leading quality assurance efforts to ensure the implementation of best practices and compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
