We seek a Journeyman Freight Coordinator with immediate availability who can perform effectively in a fast‑paced, process‑driven logistics environment. In this role, the coordinator will support the planning, analysis, and execution of transportation and freight‑movement activities that enable efficient and secure movement of materiel across the USINDOPACOM region. The position requires a logistics professional with practical experience in freight coordination, distribution, and transportation management, particularly within military or government operations in the Pacific.

The Journeyman Freight Coordinator contributes to logistics planning and execution, supports reception and staging activities for deploying forces and equipment, and assists in distribution and transportation operations essential to mission requirements. This role helps ensure agility, responsiveness, and resilience in support of logistics and sustainment objectives in contested or expeditionary environments. The position offers an opportunity to directly support mission‑critical logistics and sustainment activities throughout the Pacific region.

Salary:

• Available salary ranges for these positions are dependent on position location, and based on the candidate's education, experience, and qualifications. Salary ranges for each location are below:

• Oahu, Hawaii - $76,106 - $96,401
• Okinawa, Japan - $46,125 - $58,425
• Philippines (Subic Bay area) - $43,818 - $55,503

Responsibilities:

Logistics Planning and Coordination

• Assist in developing and updating logistics and freight movement plans, schedules, and basic contingency strategies aligned with Operations Plans (OPLANs), Contingency Plans (CONPLANs), and Campaign Plans.
• Conduct routine analyses of transportation and distribution networks and provide recommendations to improve routing, scheduling, and capacity utilization.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, contractors, mission partners, and planners to identify transportation requirements and help resolve routine constraints.
• Support compliance efforts by ensuring movement adheres to domestic and international transportation regulations, including customs and safety requirements.
• Contribute to planning multimodal transportation solutions (air, sea, land) to address chokepoints, degraded port access, and anti-access/area denial A2/AD‑related challenges.

Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration (RSOI) Support

• Support reception, inbound processing, staging, and onward movement of freight at Ports of Debarkation (PODs).
• Coordinate with transportation providers, customs officials, and host‑nation representatives to facilitate smooth and compliant freight operations.
• Verify shipment documentation and assist in maintaining accountability for freight during all movement phases.
• Monitor and track freight to maintain accurate In‑Transit Visibility (ITV) and help ensure timely delivery.
• Support storage management and safeguarding of sensitive or controlled materials.
• Assist in planning and executing onward movement of freight to final destinations to meet operational timelines.
• Help identify and address common logistical challenges, including limited assets, competing priorities, and infrastructure constraints.
• Support integration of freight into operational settings to ensure availability for deployed forces.

Distribution and Transportation Management

• Assist in scheduling and routing freight using multimodal (air, sea, land) and hybrid domestic/international transportation solutions.
• Support implementation of force protection and basic risk‑mitigation measures for sensitive and controlled materials.
• Monitor freight movement, report disruptions, and help maintain continuity of operations.
• Maintain detailed freight movement records and provide regular updates to leadership.

Security Clearance:

• US Citizenship required; must possess a Secret clearance.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum (3) years’ experience in logistics, freight coordination, or transportation management.
• Demonstrated proficiency using standard logistics planning tools and systems.
• Understanding of multimodal transportation solutions (air, sea, and land).
• Knowledge of domestic and international transportation regulations.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience in military or government-related logistics operations, preferably in the Pacific region supporting SOCPAC or other USINDOPACOM components.
• Ability to work in dynamic and expeditionary environments.
• Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
