As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team by ensuring that blood samples are collected and processed efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

• Sending out all pathology and cytology, bone marrow biopsies, and fine needle aspirates
• Reviewing and inputting patient demographics for pathology
• Reviewing and printing pathology reports and inputting histology charges
• Ordering tests and preparing them to standards
• Checking lab orders for accuracy and confirming physicians on the orders
• Performing venipuncture blood draws, heel sticks, and finger pokes
• Verifying patient information and performing drug screens and breathalyzers
• Keeping phlebotomists updated with changes and new protocols
• Performing other duties as requested

Requirements for this role include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred
• BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire
• Valid and current driver's license preferred
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
• Need 1 year experience in setting
