Role Description The Lead NDT/QC Inspector is a full-time, on-site position based in Tampa, FL. This role is responsible for performing and overseeing non-destructive testing (NDT) and quality control inspections on castings, machined components, and assemblies to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, setting up and executing inspection procedures, documenting results, and maintaining accurate inspection records. The Lead NDT/QC Inspector will guide and support other inspectors, collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, and assist in continuous improvement initiatives. This position also involves communicating inspection findings, participating in root cause analyses, and helping to refine quality processes and procedures. Qualifications Strong Quality Control and Inspection skills, including experience with NDT methods and dimensional inspections. Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Management principles, including ISO-based quality systems. Effective Communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and reporting inspection findings clearly. Experience in metal casting, machining, or manufacturing environments, preferably nonferrous materials. Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Relevant certifications in NDT or quality inspection and/or vocational or technical training in manufacturing or engineering disciplines are beneficial.
