Position/Specialty: OR CST ***8-Weeks*** Shift: 3x12s (6:45a – 7:15p) On-call REQ: 1-2 nights a week Weekend REQ: 1-2 weekend in a six-week period # of ORs: 9 Will this traveler float between service lines (Y/N): Yes Floating Req to Sister Facilities: (Y/N): Yes, may be required to float between Downtown/Northeast/Kershaw campuses due to census and/or staffing needs. Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1+ years of experience as long as they have lots of general surgery experience. First-timers accepted (Y/N): Yes National Certs REQ: BLS, NBSTSA. MUSC does NOT accept NCCT Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N): Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs Local Radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 304 Scrub Color: OR-Hospital Issued Scrubs Charting preferred: Epic Parking Cost: Downtown parking lots require a parking pass which we distribute at badge pickup. There is no fee to park. Parking lots and garages available. Garages clearance is only for average SUV truck. Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
