Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager, Core Infrastructure Full-time · Hybrid workplace LinkedIn’s Infrastructure Engineering Technical Program Management Group seeks a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead cutting‑edge improvements to core infrastructure platforms, focusing on large‑scale compute, CI/CD, and control‑plane initiatives. The role collaborates across product and engineering teams to deliver high‑impact, company‑wide programs. Responsibilities Define and drive strategy for large‑scale, cross‑functional compute and CI/CD platforms. Partner with cross‑functional infrastructure engineering and product teams to set scope, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics. Align multiple organizations on technical architecture decisions, trade‑offs, and delivery plans. Own program planning and execution artifacts, including roadmaps, dependency maps, risk registers, and status reporting. Identify, manage, and mitigate technical, operational, and delivery risks, escalating proactively as needed. Lead high‑risk launches, migrations, and cross‑region deployments, ensuring availability, durability, and performance SLAs. Establish and drive operational excellence, including incident response coordination, post‑mortems, and reliability improvements. Track and report program health using data and metrics to inform senior leadership decisions. Influence without authority to resolve conflicts, unblock teams, and maintain delivery momentum in ambiguous environments. Communicate complex technical details into actionable insights for executive and senior technical stakeholders. Basic Qualifications 8+ years of technical program management experience. 4+ years of technical program management experience with large distributed systems. B.S./B.A. in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading teams and technical programs that deliver successful outcomes at the intersection of storage/streaming platforms, infrastructure, and hardware. Experience in cloud or hyperscale environments, including capacity planning, scaling strategies, and cost optimization. Strong understanding of storage or streaming systems (e.g., distributed file/object stores, replication pipelines, messaging or event‑streaming platforms). Deep knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals, including consistency models, durability, fault tolerance, and performance trade‑offs. Proven track record in scheduling, monitoring, tracking, and executing large‑scale, cross‑functional, company‑wide programs. Excellent balance of people, organizational, and technical skills for high‑ambiguity situations. Strong interpersonal and cross‑functional communication skills, fostering collaboration with engineers, PMs, and executives. Organized with attention to detail and a focus on elevating TPM craft to the highest standards. Ability to navigate both vertically and horizontally in a large organization, balancing tactical and strategic objectives. Previous experience working with geographically distributed teams. Experience operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments and making data‑driven trade‑off decisions. Compensation The pay range for this role is $166,000 to $271,000.
