Technical Program Manager III, Technical Infrastructure, Machine Learning

Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program management. 5 years of experience working on hardware/software efficiency programs for facilities or data centers. Preferred qualifications 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience in machine learning platforms and systems, with the knowledge of design and deployment of these systems and the software stack. Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as drive cross-functional programs in hardware/software efficiencies for the data center. Excellent verbal and written communication, program management, investigative, problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and presentation skills. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Lead the efficiency portfolio investment review process and ensure alignment with the efficiency roadmaps, work with Technical Leaders and Leadership across multiple organizations to review and make funding recommendations. Drive improvements with materialization of efficiency savings into measurable value for Google through the development of new mechanisms and policies in partnership. Define product area engagements, processes, and policies that enable scaling in impact of the efficiency savings. Develop the pipeline of projects for investment through partnership and engagement with the innovation portfolios and teams across Google Cloud.
