Cafe Associate

Position Summary Serves as a key member of the Sam’s Club team, collaborating across departments and assisting associates while maintaining flexibility to meet business needs. Responsibilities Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product specifications and provide training and resources to team members. Prepare food according to item specifications, plan future productions, account for seasonality, and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment, ensuring cold chain compliance and proper inventory management. Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and enhance associate engagement, handling production decisions, ordering, training, and quality assurance. Drive area performance through stocking, rotating merchandise, quality control, waste elimination, and member service, including assistance with purchasing, payment processing, and issue resolution. Act as a brand ambassador by promoting a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented culture, assisting with training and overcoming roadblocks. Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics, utilizing the Open Door Policy and applying best business practices. Utilize policies, data, and resources to complete work assignments, set priorities, meet deadlines, communicate progress, identify improvement opportunities, and adapt to change. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications Food Safety Certification. Other food service certifications (e.g., Food Handler).
