We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic, and detail-oriented
Pharmacy Eligibility Specialist to join our team. In this role, you won't just be filling a seat, you’ll be a vital bridge connecting clients to life-changing programs, solving puzzles behind the scenes, and supporting our incredible pharmacy team.
What You’ll Do
- Patient Advocacy & Outreach: Screen, research, and connect clients to vital health resources and the Drug Assistance Program, translating complex federal, state, and manufacturer policies into clear guidance for clients and care teams.
- Pharmacy Operations Support: Provide technical assistance to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians while ensuring pharmacy maintenance and prescription processing comply strictly with State of Oregon Pharmacy Board and 340B regulations.
- Drug Assistance Enrollment & Case Management: Interview clients, research eligibility, and submit documentation for manufacturer assistance and healthcare benefit plans (like Medicaid/Medicare), while maintaining detailed case records and ongoing contact with patients and providers.
- Inquiry Resolution & Support: Serve as a key point of contact to resolve billing and service issues for clients, medical providers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Prescription Preparation & Technical Input: Provide staffing relief as-needed in health center pharmacies. Gather patient information, input data into the pharmacy computer system, and physically prepare prescriptions by counting, pouring, mixing, and labeling medications.
- Insurance, Billing & Front-End Operations: Perform online billing, troubleshoot third-party insurance issues, review patient profiles for coverage notes, and handle non-clinical inquiries from staff and patients.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*
- An associates degree from an accredited college/ university. (In lieu of a degree, we will consider relevant education and experience)
- Two (2) years of Pharmacy Technician experience, including lead or project experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Oregon in good standing by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications/ Transferable Skills*: You do not need to have the following preferred qualifications/ transferable skills to qualify. However, keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates. Please clearly explain on your application how you meet any of the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills.
- 340B Drug Pricing Program experience.
- PBM Contracts experience.
- Transferable skills: Your transferable skills are any skills you have gained through education, work experience (including the military) or life experience that are relevant for this position.
