Position Overview The EVP of Finance is a critical member of The Fedcap Group's executive leadership team and will join the organization as the designated successor to the current CFO. The EVP reports to the CEO and leads the enterprise finance and accounting function. It is a full-time onsite role based in New York City. This role is structured as a planned handoff: the incoming EVP will work alongside the existing CFO during a six-month transition period, gaining critical institutional knowledge, key stakeholder relationships, and full operational context before stepping into the CFO seat. An early priority is building depth and resilience across the function, so finance scales without single points of dependency. During the transition, the EVP will document core processes and build a succession bench beneath the top of the function, so Finance stays stable as it grows. The ideal candidate brings deep financial expertise alongside the strategic vision and leadership maturity to help drive The Fedcap Group from $440M to $1B in revenue. During and after the transition, they will oversee all financial operations across a complex, multi-entity structure, while serving as a trusted thought partner to the CEO and senior leadership on matters ranging from capital allocation and M&A to risk management and long-term planning. Equally important, this individual will be an architect-builder of systems, teams, and financial culture, bringing the technical command and emotional intelligence needed to lead a high‑performing function at scale. This is a highly visible, influential role that demands both rigorous financial expertise and the ability to inspire, communicate, and lead across a diverse stakeholder landscape that includes subsidiary leaders, banking partners, government funders, auditors, and board‑level audiences. The EVP of Finance is the architect of business value at The Fedcap Group and the organization's next chief financial leader. The mandate is modernization. Finance must work as both guardian and accelerator: protecting the organization through accurate reporting, controls, and cash discipline, while accelerating growth through forecasting, capital strategy, contract economics, and decision support. The CFO will lead a multi‑year modernization of the finance operating model, systems, data, and talent so Finance can support a $1B international enterprise. Near-term success In the first 12 to 18 months, success looks like: Full ownership of the CFO role after the six‑month transition, with key relationships and institutional knowledge in hand. A strengthened enterprise FP&A and planning function underway, led by a future SVP of Enterprise FP&A, with a reliable reporting cycle. Greater depth beneath the CFO seat, with core processes documented. A CEO‑approved, multi‑year roadmap for scaling finance systems and operations. Key Responsibilities Serve as a key strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on including long‑term planning, capital allocation, and investment decisions. Lead financial strategies to increase revenue to $1B, achieving cash reserves at 15% of revenue, long‑term savings exceeding $50M, and net assets of $65M by 2030. Scale the finance operating model to support a larger, multi‑country workforce. Evaluate and structure M&A, financing, and market expansion opportunities, including due diligence and integration frameworks. Translate the business development pipeline into long‑range financial planning, revenue and margin expectations, and cash requirements. Strengthen contract and program economics by evaluating opportunities on margin, cash timing, and risk, not revenue alone. Track acquisitions and major investments against their original thesis over time. Cash, Capital, and Net Assets Own enterprise‑wide cash management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization. Build strong banking and investor relationships and negotiate financing solutions. Ensure capital is deployed effectively across the portfolio. Strengthen cash forecasting through shared metrics across business development, treasury, billing, AR, FP&A, and operations. Financial Operations & Reporting Oversee all accounting operations, including the general ledger and close processes enterprise‑wide. Ensure timely, accurate reporting to auditors, funders, and government agencies. Own financial operations across the U.S., UK, Canada, and other international entities, including multi‑currency consolidation and statutory reporting. Complete centralization of the international back office and prepare finance for entry into new countries. Lead a multi‑year modernization of the finance technology stack, including the GL, close, consolidation and FP&A tools. Enterprise Intelligence, FP&A, and Decision Discipline Sponsor and build a new enterprise FP&A capability, led by a future SVP of Enterprise FP&A. Establish a management cadence of decision forums covering performance, cash, contract risk, and investments. Turn dashboards into decision tools that surface what is changing and where risk is emerging. Digital Finance, Technology, and AI Serve as executive sponsor for finance technology modernization, in partnership with the CIO. Advance automation, analytics, and AI in sequence, governed for security, interpretability, and human oversight. Evaluate emerging finance technology through a business‑value lens. Design an organization‑wide risk framework addressing liquidity, funder, contract, technology, and international risk, with segregation of duties across all entities. Ensure robust internal controls, audit rigor, and regulatory compliance. Drive a risk‑conscious culture in partnership with Legal, HR, and IT. Leadership & Team Development Build and lead a high‑performing finance team with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Build a middle layer of finance leadership and a succession bench as complexity grows. Partner with subsidiary leaders to align planning with operations. Represent The Fedcap Group externally with auditors, banks, funders, investors, and board‑level stakeholders. Professional Qualifications 20+ years of progressive senior finance leadership, with significant experience as a CFO, deputy CFO, or EVP of Finance in a large, complex, multi‑entity organization, preferably with revenue of $750M or more; strong evidence of building and scaling a finance function for growth carries equal weight to current revenue size. Deep expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance. Proven experience with M&A, capital markets, and international financial operations across multiple currencies and regulatory environments, including integrations. Hands‑on ERP experience required (Oracle strongly preferred); advanced Excel; familiarity with CRM and modern financial technologies. Experience leading or sponsoring finance technology modernization, including cloud platforms, BI, data lakes, automation, and AI‑enabled finance, partnering with a CIO, with an understanding of responsible AI adoption, governance, and risk. Experience building enterprise FP&A, including financial modeling, scenario planning, long‑range planning, and multi‑entity budgeting. Experience translating a growth pipeline into financial strategy and resource allocation. Experience with federal, state, and municipal government contracts and cost reporting. Experience with nonprofit and fund accounting, including grant compliance, single audit under Uniform Guidance, Form 990 reporting, and indirect cost rate negotiation. Prior experience restructuring finance departments or building reporting infrastructure is a plus. Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and demonstrated ability to develop high‑performing teams, with credibility across executives, board members, and external partners. Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced credential strongly preferred. The CFO/EVP of Finance is more than just a senior management role.
