Work Environment

Located in the welcoming community of Port Elizabeth, NJ, The Health Connection operates a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility where patients can feel at ease while receiving comprehensive care. The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, offering a predictable schedule perfect for balancing professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations to inform treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's recovery goals.
• Utilise hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercises, and state-of-the-art modalities aimed at reducing pain, enhancing mobility, and restoring physical function.
• Provide education to patients and their families on effective body mechanics, maintaining proper posture, and techniques for preventing future injuries.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans based on their ongoing needs and recovery benchmarks.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to each patient's care.
• Maintain precise and thorough patient records that detail assessments, treatment sessions, and patient responses.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse array of patients, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals undergoing rehabilitation from spinal injuries, and those with chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Board certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is highly valued.
• A minimum of five years' clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting, with a proven track record of treating diverse conditions.
• Proficiency in advanced physical therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to effectively address patients' rehabilitation needs.
• Excellent communication skills to thoughtfully engage with patients, their families, and collaborative healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in sports rehabilitation and spinal care is preferable, given our focus in these areas.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance the documentation process and improve patient tracking.
• Ideally, candidates should have additional certifications in specific therapeutic approaches or specialties.

Compensation and Benefits

The Health Connection offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
