Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity

Step into a unique opportunity designed for a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for working in school settings. This contract role offers the rewarding chance to serve diverse student populations in two nearby locations, providing essential continuity of care for young learners during maternity leave coverage.

The journey begins supporting elementary students (K5) in Gallatin from mid-January through early April. Your role will involve managing a caseload of approximately 40 students, conducting evaluations, and participating in meetings within regular school hours (7:25 AM2:55 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break). As the spring progresses, you'll transition to Portland, where you'll support a preschool and comprehensive developmental classroom of about 34 students, full-time (7:00 AM2:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch), through the end of the school year.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active SLP licensure in Tennessee
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
• Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP settings preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in conducting evaluations and participating in multidisciplinary meetings

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy to students on your caseload
• Complete evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
• Document progress and maintain compliance with IEP plans and district guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to facilitate student success
