Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a hospital in Key West, FL. The RRT will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas, maintaining airways, ventilator management, insertion of arterial lines, intubations, pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gases. Candidate must be comfortable independently working with NICU and pediatric patients as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Florida RRT or CRT license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications current.
• Experience with Medhost charting system preferred.
• Comfort and experience providing care in NICU and pediatric populations preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hospital-based acute care experience.
• Experience with ventilator management and arterial blood gas analysis.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Shift pattern: 3x12s (night schedule).
• Charting system: Medhost.
• Must be comfortable independently working with NICU patients.
