Senior Platform Software Engineer Company: The Boeing Company. Join a proprietary Air Dominance program in Berkeley, MO supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. Responsibilities Work cross‑functionally to solve complex engineering problems. Develop and maintain code, integrating software components into a fully functional system. Collaborate with internal and external customers to remove technical blockers and support efficient product development. Document roadmaps, plans, and technical requirements to meet key objectives. Coach early‑career software engineers in industry best practices. Participate in an agile team to achieve shared goals. Execute and document software research and development projects. Work under general direction within a multi‑tasking environment. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. 9+ years programming experience in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or an equivalent combination). 6+ years experience on an agile team using agile methodologies and tools such as Jira. 6+ years professional experience in defense/aerospace or working with DevSecOps technologies (Kubernetes, cloud services, GitLab, Terraform, etc.). Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Mentorship and coaching capabilities. Excellent road‑mapping, documentation, and communication skills. Mastery of DevSecOps tools/technologies such as AWS, Azure, Terraform, GitLab CI, build systems, SonarQube, etc. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science with 9+ years of related work experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 13+ years of directly related experience, or 17+ years of relevant experience. Knowledge of the defense or avionics industry. Knowledge of networking principles. Understanding of required levels of rigor for safety‑critical software. Security Clearance & Other Requirements Must obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (post‑start); U.S. citizenship required. Position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person). Shift 1 (United States of America). Relocation is offered based on candidate eligibility. Employer does not sponsor employment visa status. Benefits & Compensation Pay Range: $160,650.00 – $217,350.00. Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.
