Role Description The Bookkeeper is a full-time, on-site role based in Vero Beach, FL, responsible for managing the day-to-day financial recordkeeping for Riverside Theatre. Typical duties include recording and reconciling financial transactions, maintaining the general ledger, processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and preparing bank deposits and reconciliations. The role is also responsible for tracking budgets, supporting grant and program reporting, and providing accurate financial data for management and auditors. The Bookkeeper collaborates with administrative and leadership staff to ensure timely, compliant, and transparent financial operations that support the theatre’s programs and mission. Qualifications Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation. Proficiency with accounting and office software (such as spreadsheets, and word processing tools). Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to organize and maintain financial records and documentation. Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial information and support budgeting and reporting. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with colleagues across administrative and artistic departments. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
