Human Resources Director - Functions, Transformation, & Distribution Centers - ESA Location: Moon Township, PA; Beachwood, OH; Milwaukee, WI; Raleigh, NC; or Charlotte, NC. Relocation is offered only for Moon Township. Position Overview This role leads HR for ESA’s central functions such as Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Distribution Centers. The Director acts as a strategic advisor to four functional leaders, collaborating on designing and implementing talent‑management, succession‑planning, cultural, and organizational‑effectiveness initiatives that support short‑ and long‑term business goals. The position works closely with change‑management teams and division HR leaders to support organization transformation. The Electrical Sector America business generates over $13 billion in revenue and employs more than 34,000 people in 15+ countries and 50+ plants. Job Responsibilities Serve as a strategic advisor to ES-A functional leaders in Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management and Supply Chain. Develop, align and deploy functional strategies to achieve near‑ and long‑term goals through talent, culture and structure initiatives. Identify, acquire and develop the organizational capability needed to advance the business’s competitive position. Own succession planning and high‑potential development, ensuring a robust leadership pipeline. Lead competitive compensation and recognition programs that reinforce performance, motivation and retention. Shape a culture of trust, inclusion and accountability throughout the central functions. Elevate the HR function through operational excellence and continuous improvement using EBS tools. Drive data cleansing for HR technology platforms to improve efficiency and enable data‑driven decision‑making. Serve as liaison between ESA and Corporate/Electrical Sector teams. Manage restructuring actions as part of a multi‑year program to achieve targets and ensure consistent implementation. Partner closely with the OCM leader and division HR leaders to drive change and execute the talent strategy. Oversee Cherrington HQ campus, including employee experience, facilities and EHS. Travel 25 percent of the time. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum ten (10) years of professional HR experience. Experience leading HR for multiple sites and/or a distributed workforce. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Engagement with immigration sponsorship is not considered for this position. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or SPHR certification. Position Success Criteria Business acumen – anticipate talent needs and align HR strategy with operational goals. Organizational design – lead strategic change to optimize structure and talent alignment. Change enablement – guide leaders through transformation using data‑driven insights and a people‑first approach. Accountability for results that impact the entire business or function. Adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑changing, matrix‑managed environment. Inspirational leadership and development of other leaders with a focus on continuous learning. Deep understanding of compliance and employment law (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.). Compensation and Benefits The expected annual salary range for this role is $165,000 – $242,000, with eligibility for a variable incentive program.
