New Business Development Manager – Monroe, NC Recruiter: Abby Chroniger | View email address on click.appcast.io | View phone number on click.appcast.io Roles & Responsibilities Manage the sales process and advance profitable sales growth within the assigned market area for new Airgas customers. Meet and surpass organizational and regional milestones for profitable sales growth, A/R management, and customer retention within the assigned area. Build and nurture relationships and provide solutions to new Airgas customers, utilizing technology to enhance effectiveness. Develop and implement sales plans utilizing Airgas' sales initiatives and guidelines to obtain orders and establish new accounts. Qualify and connect with sales leads, nurture customer relationships through consultative engagement, and prepare sales proposals with pricing, credit terms, and estimated delivery dates. Stay current with industry insights, Airgas product mix, market trends, pricing, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques. Collaborate with internal resources to accomplish success milestones, maintaining clear communication with internal departments about customer successes, opportunities, developments. Maintain and submit sales reports (daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses) as requested by District Manager through SAP. Actively review and manage Accounts Receivable balances to protect working capital and reduce financial risk. Required Qualifications Reliable transportation, current driver's license, minimum liability insurance as required by state of vehicle registration. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Google Suites. Minimum of 3 years of outside B2B sales experience, including proven solution‑selling and customer management across a defined sales territory. Knowledge of customer segmentation and the ability to prioritize high‑value customers. Proven success using a consultative sales approach that provides multiple layers of value, establishing mixed sales solutions and products. Deep knowledge of customer business, macro and microeconomic trends, industry trends, and new business opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases or background in industrial gas & welding supply sales. Experience with SAP. Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years) work experience. Benefits Base pay plus commission. Monthly auto allowance. Travel within assigned territory, minimal overnights.
