Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The Denver-based Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing specialized critical care to a congenital cardiac patient population within a state-of-the-art pediatric intensive care setting. This role offers the opportunity to join a dedicated team managing complex cardiac and neonatal cases, utilizing advanced equipment and evidence-based practices to deliver exceptional patient care. Job Details Position: Registered Nurse Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Location: Denver, CO Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure, at least 2 years of cardiac critical care experience, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications, and the ability to work in the designated location. Responsibilities: Providing post-operative care, managing inotropic and vasopressor infusions, chest tube management, and caring for open chest and post-sternotomy patients. Administering moderate sedation and utilizing advanced equipment such as Phillips monitors, Medfusion, Baxter pumps, centrimag, prismax, and Arctic Sun. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care. Preferred Qualifications: Peritoneal dialysis and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) skills, ECMO bedside experience. Schedule details: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week. Submission requirements: Candidates must demonstrate cardiac critical care experience and relevant certifications.
