Manufacturing PlannerManufacturing Planners develop and maintain production build plans based on customer Bills of Material (BOM) and engineering requirements. They integrate these plans into Accurus Aerospace Tulsa's manufacturing operations to ensure alignment with materials, equipment, and resource availability. The Manufacturing Planner ensures the efficient production of aerospace components while meeting established delivery schedules, cost objectives, and quality standards.Essential FunctionsReview and validate data entered in the Quote Master Import Tool for accuracyGenerates accurate and precise planning based on engineering drawings, purchase orders, and vendor configuration dataCollaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and implement effective rework plansPrepare comprehensive technical information packages for aerospace parts and assembliesCoordinate closely with Programming to develop and implement repeatable, efficient manufacturing processes aligned with customer design specificationsCreate Master Routers in the ERP system per engineering data, defining materials, BOMs, and special processesDevelop and maintain process documentation—work instructions, travelers, and routings—to ensure full traceability from raw material to final productEnsure all manufacturing processes and documentation comply with industry standards, including AS9100, Nadcap, and applicable FAA regulationsProvide production support through issue resolution and process improvement initiativesSupport and guide compliance audits and continuous improvement initiatives including RCCA supportRequired Education and Work ExperienceA bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field is required; a combination of specialized training and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Other Required Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of aerospace finishing and processing requirements, including heat treat, coatings, and surface treatmentsStrong understanding of aerospace machining practices, specifications, and CNC processesFamiliarity with milling operations, cutting tools, and part programming fundamentalsProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&TBasic proficiency with CAD systems (e.g., CATIA, Vericut)Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearlyPrevious aerospace industry experience is preferredPhysical Demands and Work Environment To perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:Sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computerRegularly stand and walk throughout the facility, including all buildings and the manufacturing areas; occasionally navigating rough or uneven terrainRegularly lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 50 poundsOccasionally climb steps, stairs, or laddersOccasionally bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneelConstantly communicate verbally and in writing (English) using a phone, texts or other messaging, and emailVisual acuity to accurately interpret precision measuring instruments and to distinguish colors to assess and accurately respond to sensors, indicators, and color-variable dashboardsUse hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards and peripherals, measurement instruments, and to physically examine manufactured partsWorking Conditions Work is performed in a combination of locations including offices and the manufacturing shop environment where working conditions vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:Moderate noise (regularly); excessive noise, hearing protection required (occasionally)Dust, smoke, fumes/vapors and hazardous chemicals or materials (regularly)Extreme temperatures (occasionally)Hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, complex machining centers, and other equipment used in a machine shop environment (occasionally)The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye protection, and use of safety footwear is required.We appreciate your interest in Accurus Aerospace; however, only those applicants selected for interviews will be contacted.
