Responsibilities:

• Manage the construction estimating process from initial budgets through subcontractor award, ensuring accurate cost projections, competitive bids, and alignment with project requirements.

What you will do:

• Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project scopes to develop accurate budgets and bids.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field operations to clarify project requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and alternative construction solutions.
• Track cost changes, prepare estimate comparisons, and communicate project budgets.
• Support the bidding process through subcontractor selection and contract finalization.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of estimating experience within industrial or commercial construction, preferably supporting industrial or manufacturing facilities.
• Strong knowledge of civil/sitework construction, including concrete, paving, underground utilities, and grading.
• Experience with construction bidding, subcontractor proposals, and cost analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, and CSI MasterFormat cost divisions.
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software such as WinEst, Timberline, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar. xhyhwjd
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
