FY27: Speech Pathologist, Arcola ES, 0.6 FTE

Job Overview Arcola Elementary School is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Speech Pathologist to join our team for a 0.6 FTE position in Fiscal Year 2027. This role supports a linguistically and culturally diverse learning community, providing high‑quality speech and language services that promote student growth and equity. Responsibilities Screen, evaluate, diagnose, and provide evidence‑based services for students with communication disorders (articulation, voice, language, fluency). Consult with teachers, parents, and related professionals to develop instructional supports and interventions. Participate in IEP team meetings; develop IEP goals and objectives; maintain accurate longitudinal records. Attend school meetings, programs, and activities outside the instructional day as required by the MCEA agreement. Implement culturally responsive practices and foster positive relationships with students across varied backgrounds and abilities. Qualifications Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech‑Language Pathology. Comprehensive coursework and demonstrated expertise in evaluating and treating communication disorders for students aged birth to twenty‑one years. Experience collaborating with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams. Excellent oral and written communication, human relations, and organizational skills. License: Speech pathologists hired after October 1, 2007 must hold a Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) license or be eligible for a provisional license. Those hired prior to October 1, 2007 may hold Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification or a Maryland DHMH license. CCC or CFY eligibility is desirable. Compensation & Benefits The wage range for this position is 60% of a salary between $64,591 and $131,472 based on education and experience.
