Registered Nurse

This is a backfill position for a Registered Nurse in home health. The nurse will be responsible for providing home visits and attending periodic meetings. The average daily caseload will be 5 to 8 patients. Weekly productivity expectations are a minimum of 30 points. Visit types include start of care, wound care, follow-up visits, and other adult home health services. Clinicians will be required to travel between patient homes and report to the assigned clinic weekly. Reliable transportation and proper vehicle insurance are required. Mileage is reimbursed at the standard rate set by the IRS. Travel between home and the first patient, and from the last patient, is not billable. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the patient appointment. It is important for the nurse to accept all patients on their schedule regardless of their location. There are no guaranteed hours, and productivity points must be attained weekly. If census is low, flexibility to float to a nearby clinic for additional hours may be necessary. Nurses must be comfortable with potential drives exceeding 20 minutes between patients. Participation in on-call rotations is expected every 3 to 4 weeks. First-time travelers are not accepted; recent specialty experience is required.
