Director of Parish Operations

The Director of Parish Operations works with the pastor and members of the Leadership Team to ensure that programs, projects, and ministries of the parish are well planned, effectively implemented, and critically evaluated in order to continuously improve the ministry effectiveness of the Church of the Resurrection and Resurrection School. Major Areas of Responsibility Planning Serves on the Parish Leadership Team and as an ex officio member of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) to ensure that planning efforts of the Leadership Team and PPC are clear, focused, coherent, and aligned with the mission and vision of the Church of the Resurrection. Helps facilitate S.M.A.R.T. goal-setting, determination of objectives, strategies, and timelines for the members of the Leadership Team and key staff members. Whenever there is a special project or program, works with the relevant ministry leaders and staff to ensure that all aspects of the effort, including planning, promotion, set-up, operations (e.g., registration, technology, custodial, kitchen, childcare, etc.), tear-down, clean-up, and evaluation are anticipated and accounted for in a timely manner. Coordination & Monitoring Works to ensure that the Leadership Team and Pastor are working wisely together and with others on the staff in ways that maintain a healthy organizational culture and good staff morale. Works to ensure that Leadership Team and key staff members have systems in place to monitor and track progress on goals tied to their Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs). Whenever there are special projects or programs, tracks and coordinates efforts to ensure effective implementation. Evaluation Conducts regular and systematic evaluation of projects and programs to ensure continuous improvement of strategies, systems, and procedures to help the parish fulfill her mission and ministry goals and objectives. Status: Exempt Reports to: Pastor Part Time. Positions Supervised: Parish Secretary. Qualifications Must have knowledge of the Catholic Faith and be a practicing/participating Catholic in good standing with the church. Must also have the ability to work cooperatively, be well-organized, and possess communication skills to function effectively in a diverse community environment.
