This role is an experienced professional with a strong background in software development.Your role Backend engineer with hands-on experience in Java (Spring Boot) and microservices architecture, along with exposure to BDD-based testing (Python Behave)and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring BootContribute to API design, integration, and performance optimization across distributed systemsParticipate in backlog refinement, solution design, and sprint deliverablesCollaborate with QA teams to support BDD-based test automation using Python BehaveEnsure adherence to coding standards, CI/CD practices, and version control (GitHub)Leverage tools like GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency and code qualityContribute to problem-solving, defect resolution, and production support as neededYour skills and experience 7+ hands-on experience in: - Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture (REST APIs, service decomposition)Experience with:- Python, Behave (BDD framework)or similar BDD tools and Git/GitHub workflowsUnderstanding of API testing, integration patterns, and debugging techniquesCI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesExposure to: GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development toolsBuilding reusable developer utilities or accelerators (skills creation mindset)Experience working in agile environments with strong collaboration across teamsThe base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $73,150 - $174,000. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
