CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY COUNSELOR

Overview The Pride Program is now part of Foundations Minnesota, a new entity designed to strengthen mental and behavioral health services, expand programming, and ensure long‑term sustainability. This transition allows us to better meet the needs of our communities while preserving the Pride Program’s LGBTQ+ specialty outpatient track. Responsibilities The role is a licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor that will provide ongoing assessments, treatment planning, progress reviews, continuing care planning, and individual/group counseling sessions involving recovery education. The position is hourly, full‑time, benefits‑eligible, and scheduled Monday through Friday in the morning. Qualifications Qualified candidates will have an active, unrestricted LADC license awarded by the MN BBHT; 1–2 years of experience in the chemical dependency field and 12 contact hours of co‑occurring disorders training; insight into the unique challenges faced by our clients; the ability to pass the MN DHS Background Study; and must be free of problematic substance use for at least the two years immediately preceding their hiring.
