Senior Transportation Project Manager

Responsibilities Direct and coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close‑out). Handle all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium‑sized, technically complex projects with a large project staff. Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently. Establish and maintain client relations; be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings. Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders. Coordinate staffing and workload for the entire project life cycle and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule. Track financial aspects of projects; coordinate and adjust work effort with the team to stay within the agreed‑to budget and schedule. Work with Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews. Implement QA/QC procedures. Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less‑experienced Project Managers. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree. PMP certification. Five years of experience working on projects with state departments of transportation or equivalent. Knowledge of Highway Capacity Manual, Highway Safety Manual, or experience working with or for KYTC or TDOT. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Ten years of related experience. Minimum five years of project management experience. Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location (e.g., PE or P.Eng). MS Office and MS Project experience; Access experience would be a plus. Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills. Active participation in an employee‑owned culture is a must.
