Member of Technical Staff, Agentic Banking (Product Engineer) [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Member of Technical Staff, Agentic Banking (Product Engineer) based in the United States.

This role sits at the frontier of AI-driven financial infrastructure, where software, payments, and autonomous systems intersect. You will help build a new category of “agentic banking” products that enable AI agents to initiate, manage, and complete financial transactions securely on behalf of users and businesses. The position combines full-stack engineering with deep product ownership, requiring you to translate ambiguous customer needs into production-ready systems. You will design and ship both customer-facing workflows and the backend financial logic that powers them, working in a highly regulated and security-sensitive environment. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you will operate without traditional handoffs, directly shaping product direction and customer experience. The work is fast-moving, highly technical, and foundational to the future of autonomous financial systems.

Accountabilities:

• Own and build full-stack product features across frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, and operational workflows for agentic payment systems.
• Design and implement backend state machines and transaction flows for stablecoin and payment orchestration systems.
• Translate ambiguous customer needs into clear technical specifications, shipped features, and production-grade systems without PM intermediaries.
• Develop customer-facing documentation, integration guides, and self-serve onboarding materials to reduce support dependency.
• Collaborate directly with customers to gather feedback, identify friction points, and improve APIs, workflows, and developer experience.
• Define, test, and iterate on product behavior including error handling, edge cases, compliance constraints, and financial correctness.
• Contribute to scaling product operations by automating recurring workflows and improving internal tooling and systems.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in full-stack or product-focused software engineering roles.
• Strong ability to work across frontend, backend, APIs, and system design in production environments.
• Proven experience building or working with financial systems such as payments, banking infrastructure, crypto platforms, or similar domains.
• Excellent product judgment with the ability to simplify ambiguous problems into clear, shippable solutions.
• Strong written communication skills, including technical documentation, design rationale, and customer-facing materials.
• Comfort engaging directly with customers and using feedback to shape product direction and prioritization.
• Strong bias toward shipping reliable, maintainable, and correct systems in high-stakes environments.
• Familiarity with or strong willingness to learn AI-assisted development workflows and agentic systems.
