Claims Examiner - Workers Compensation

Responsibilities Analyze and process Workers Compensation claims to determine benefits due and ensure adjudication meets service expectations, industry best practices, and client requirements. Investigate and gather information to assess claim exposure and develop appropriate action plans. Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority. Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients. Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to carrier requests and directions promptly and professionally. Maintain clear and timely documentation of claim activity. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional certification relevant to the line of business preferred. Licensing or jurisdiction: Licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana. Strong analytical, judgment, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities. Capacity to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under stress.
