Position Summary
The HSE Specialist assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure a safe workplace, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across environmental, occupational health, and safety systems. The role supports incident investigations, audits, training, and compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards.

- Related HSE field
- Minimum 3+ years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting:

- ISO 14001
- ISO 45001
- Risk Assessments (JSA/JHA)
- Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, RCA)
- Emergency Response Planning
- Hazardous Materials Management
- LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)
- Confined Space Programs
- PPE Programs
- Hazard Communication Programs
- English - Proficient (Required)
- Microsoft Excel - Proficient
- Microsoft Word - Intermediate
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Outlook
- Basic SAP exposure preferred
- ISO 14001 Certification
- ISO 45001 Certification
- ISO 50001 Knowledge/Certification
- Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) Certification
- RCRA / DOT Certification
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Implement and maintain EHS programs to meet OSHA, EPA, state, local, and company requirements.
- Support ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 management systems.
- Conduct hazard assessments, safety inspections, and environmental compliance audits.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations using RCA and 5-Why methodologies.
- Deliver EHS training programs and maintain training records.
- Manage environmental reporting, waste programs, SDS, chemical labeling, and spill response.
- Track and report EHS KPIs (TRIR, incident rates, corrective actions, etc.).
- Support contractor safety programs and site orientations.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and response plans.
- Support ergonomics and industrial hygiene initiatives.
