Infection Prevention Specialist

RN – Infection Preventionist

Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in infection prevention and control

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct surveillance of healthcare-related infections within the facility.
• Ensure compliance with public reporting for mandated healthcare-associated infections.
• Assist in developing and implementing infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Provide education and training to patients and team members on infection prevention practices.
• Perform routine audits and physical rounds to monitor infection prevention practices, including construction, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization efforts.
