We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases in an AWS cloud environment. This role involves ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our database systems while collaborating with development teams to enhance database design and query efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring to ensure optimal database performance.
• Plan, deploy, and maintain PostgreSQL database systems in a cloud environment.
• Implement and manage database security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and improve database design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience as a DBA PostgreSQL in an AWS IaaS.
• In depth knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management tools.
• Familiarity with database backup and recovery techniques.
• Strong problem solving and effective communication skills.
• 7+ years of DBA PostgreSQL experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Oracle to PostgreSQL migration (if applicable).
• Knowledge of additional database technologies and tools.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in PostgreSQL or database management are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
