Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Epic EMR experience, a minimum of 3 years of ER experience, and active CA RN licensure for a night shift contract with 36 or 48 hours per week available.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license, unrestricted and in good standing (no prior license hits will be considered)
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
• TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire
• Demonstrated competency in IV sedation required within 6 months of hire
• Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia required
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience required, with clinical work performed in the specialty within the last 3 months
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• MICN and CEN certifications preferred
• 2 supervisory references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past 2 years
• A completed specialty-specific skills checklist from within the past year is required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for an assigned shift, delivering care consistent with the medical plan and nursing process
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care across all age groups
• Delegates aspects of patient care to nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall care plan
• This position is represented by the CNA (California Nurses Association)
• Local candidates are accepted; local and travel pay rates are the same — no radius rule applies
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer; candidates requesting more than 5 days will not be considered
• A candidate may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
